APMS is a Genoa-based company working in marine automation and navigation equipment. We install and provide technical support for onboard systems, alongside solutions for digital charts and television reception.
Based in Genoa since 2013
APMS S.r.l. was established in Genoa in October 2019, continuing the business started by Andrea Pesci in 2013. The company grew out of his hands-on experience in automation and navigation equipment.
We work on ECDIS, radar and gyrocompasses, from installation to technical support. We install CAIM 900 ECDIS and develop APMS conning systems to bring navigation data together on screen. We also integrate mimic panels for fire doors and watertight doors.
Our onboard services also include TV antenna installation and repair, and signal distribution through the internal TV network. We are a RINA-approved service provider for SAL Navigation and NSR VDRs.
For digital charts and publications, we collaborate with CAIM and work with its NaviGate software.
We collaborate with HydrosystemsGroup on stabilisation systems and complete steering systems.
ANDREA PESCI’S BACKGROUND
Andrea Pesci
Founder of APMSHis technical career began with ADSL and fibre-optic networks at Impredil, followed by industrial automation and instrumentation at ILVA. At Pinfabb, he entered the marine sector, working on cruise ship stabilisers and radar. He then spent seven years at Consilium, focusing on VDRs and radar.
His experience also includes work on the navigation system aboard M/N Rossita during construction at Fincantieri. These experiences laid the foundations for APMS.
